In order to provide a medium through which to complete certification coursework, the Foundation has the following programs:
Deen Intensive Weekends
Deen Intensive Weekends are held over a long or standard weekend. Designed to both accommodate those with more intense schedules throughout the year and to completely cover a subject, these delicately developed programs offer the students a short period of intense study.
Deen Intensive Retreats
Averaging one week in length, the een Intensive Retreats offer a moderate period of immersion in an environment of study and worship. Covering more material that the Deen Intensive Weekends, Deen Intensive Retreats grant students the opportunity to complete more of the coursework required for certification.
The Rihla Program
Organized by the Deen Intensive Foundation, the Rihla Program takes place every summer for a period of about four weeks. Hosting some of the world’s most esteemed scholars, the Rihla Program allows students to experience a taste of life as a student of knowledge; solely preoccupying them with study and worship of an extended period of time. The Rihla Program also allows students opportunities to visit sites of historical significance, with programs that have been held in the famous Qarawiyin in Fez, Morocco, in Grenada, Spain, and most recently in the city of the Beloved Prophet (may God’s peace and blessings be upon him), Medina the Illuminated and Mecca the Ennobled. Combining intense study, worship, and historical visits these programs provide students with a unique transforming experience to complement their invaluable learning.
